The room was nicely furnished and comfy, and the spot was easy to find with plenty of scenic walks nearby. But every room had a big sign listing all the extra fees, which felt a bit intrusive—just put it in the welcome booklet. The owner’s messages were confusing; they asked for copies of my driver’s licence and visa card even though I’d already paid in full, and when I refused they threatened to cancel my booking and called me to explain.
