The place was comfy, original, easy to reach, quiet, and well‑situated.
“La modernité technologique dans un en espace chargé d’histoire.”
The room was at the cutting edge of lighting tech and modern comfort, set in a beautiful stone and wood setting partly from the 17th century. The Wi‑Fi wasn’t strong enough, but maybe it was just a temporary glitch?
The staff were very friendly at the reception, the décor was lovely, the comfort was great, and it was quiet. Everything was perfect for us.
“Un bel endroit”
Everything was flawless: a big bed, a nice bathtub, and a stunning staircase to get to it. We definitely recommend this spot.
“Descriptif trop incomplet, déceptions”
The room’s size was great, beautifully restored, with excellent bedding and plenty of reading pillows, a shower with strong pressure, rare bath gloves, many toilet towels, and bedside lamps. However, there was no parking and no nearby parking. The cottage is actually on the first floor, accessed by a steep little staircase that wasn’t mentioned in the description. The photos were misleading; there was no bottle on the tray or rose petals in the tub. If you want a beer in the fridge for €7 or a can of Coke for €2, you’ll find them, but the wine isn’t even sparkling – a real sting. For a €200 stay, a €7 welcome drink would have made a difference. The bath bomb kit, including a bottle, costs €19 – a shock, since a bath bomb at Marionnaud or Sephora is €1. A few tea or coffee sachets were offered like other hotels at this price point, but when I asked for an infusion sachet, I was told to buy one at the nearby supermarket – an insane reply. The toilet is separated from the room by a simple curtain, which is “perfect for romance.” There are also uneven stone steps. The TV screen is there, but it’s too small and too far from the bed to watch a VOST film, for example.
