“Booking.com is a rip off”

I booked a 2‑night stay in Florence, KY, but only stayed one night; I asked for a refund for the unused night, yet the hotel refused, citing that I had used the bed and smoked two cigarettes in a smoking room but did nothing else. I reached out five times, each time receiving a different excuse—sometimes they couldn’t connect me to Super 8 by phone, other times they ignored my emails. I called the 800 number, the local number, and emailed the address they provided, but they still won’t refund or rebook me. The last call left me on hold until the line dropped. This feels like a rip‑off, especially since I’m on disability and barely making ends meet. I’ll keep posting this on every social media platform and on Yelo each week until it’s resolved.

The staff were friendly, but there were roaches everywhere—both big and small—and the towels were covered in hair.

“It gave us a place to sleep, thank you for that.”

The bed was fairly comfortable, though it had some bugs on it (I hope they weren’t bedbugs). The place is falsely advertised as including breakfast, which it doesn’t. The floors were filthy and the whole area smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke.
