Hotel Gasthaus Felseneck

We rented the hotel for a business trip. The booking and payment were made in advance. We informed staff of the late arrival of two people, but they did not respond. In the evening, when the guests arrived, the hotel was closed and no one opened the door. The guests ended up sleeping in a car outside the hotel. The next morning we went in to find out why they were not allowed to stay overnight. Our business travelers needed to stay another night, yet the staff offered no discount or compensation, charging the full amount for the extra night. Bottom line: not recommended. If you book, be aware of the staff’s lack of responsibility.

The view was great. The hotel itself was completely outdated, never cleaned, with mold‑black grout in the bathrooms. No fresh towels were provided, and we had to bring our own toilet paper. The price was not justified at all.

“Das Essen macht vieles wieder gut.”

The staff were friendly, but the room was old and clearly seen better days; the lime stain was set in and almost impossible to remove. The owner knows how to run a kitchen well, but the overall hotel management still has a lot of room for improvement.
