The bakery was decent, but the selection was limited. The mattress was too soft and didn't give enough support. The bathroom drainage was sluggish, likely partially clogged. USB charging ports didn't work. Media mirroring from the phone used outdated tech and didn't function.
The AC didn't work at all. The windows couldn't be opened.

The rooftop view was nice. The staff service was poor—waiters, bellboy, reception. The rooms had bathrooms with no ventilation and very little natural light. The furniture was extremely old. The covered pool had no heating and was freezing.

The room was comfortable and the service was excellent. The spa was outstanding.

The staff were attentive and the room setup was good, though I felt my room lacked a vanity. I'm used to higher quality amenities like shampoo and cream, and the ones provided were generic and didn't match the Banyan Tree standard for the price paid. The pillows were quite uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was not very varied; it's okay but one expects more for a hotel of this type.
