The bedroom was tidy and the en‑suite was a decent size, and we were on the first floor; the shared ground‑floor lounge felt a bit Spartan and could use some sprucing, while breakfast was okay but very basic.

It was a wonderful place to stay, the host was very kind and took time to help us, the breakfast was delicious, everything was lovely – I would gladly have stayed longer!

The place was quiet, the bedding comfortable, clean, the welcome friendly, and the host gave good visiting tips; parking was easy, the ground‑floor room meant I didn’t have to lug my bags, and the communal breakfast area was well equipped with a fridge‑freezer.
