The location is fabulous, right across the road from the beach, and the rooms are lovely. The breakfast is simple, tasty, and handy for grab‑and‑go, and there’s a lovely restaurant next door. We arrived early in the evening and the reception was locked; a note on the door told us to go to their sister hotel to check in, but that reception was also locked. We had to wait until 7:15 pm for it to reopen, and we were all in a hurry to use the facilities. The reception person was very friendly and helpful.

The jacuzzi tubs and fire pit were great, and the hotel was close to Moonstone Cafe and the beach access. I don’t understand why they can’t have someone at the desk past 6:00 pm; having to walk to the Dolphin Inn to check in was stupid. When I asked for a towel, the staff said they would bring one down but never did. The complimentary coffee and some breakfast items were late, forcing me to walk down the road for coffee.

The room was cozy with an ocean view, but cars parked in front of our room totally ruined the ocean and sunset view for us. The breakfast offered was very disappointing considering the price we paid for the room.
