The waiters were fantastic and friendly and kept our drinks, every meal was extremely tasty; on the first night we stayed in the Elena Ceaușescu room, the bed was very squeaky, but we requested a room change the next day.

“Liniste si frumos”

The personnel were present and polite, the food was good or very good, the room was very OK, barely changed from how it was in Ceausescu’s time; the common areas and courtyard are the cabin’s strengths, we could go see bears at the observatory, the excursion can be bought through the cabin, the location is isolated from all other buildings in the area, clean and well kept; the quality of the sanitary fixtures was lacking, I would like a better functioning shower, and larger, better towels would make the stay more pleasant.

“Séjour féerique dans la nature.”

A stunning spot surrounded by lush nature. The place kept its luxurious communist décor and hunting trophies, which is a real change of pace from the usual standard décor. The villa’s story is worth a visit. The couple running the inn were very kind and attentive. The food was excellent, and the blueberry liqueur was delicious. We even got to watch bears in the forest with a ranger, which made the stay extraordinary: 13 bears, including a mother with her two cubs. Nothing to change.
