At first I thought I wouldn’t write a review because I liked the owner’s friendliness and the staff’s enthusiasm, but several issues piled up and I couldn’t accept them. The owner was friendly and the staff were eager, yet the room overall was filthy, especially the bathroom which had multiple dirty spots that I didn’t photograph but were unmistakably there—one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The sheets had stubborn stains in several places, as did the blankets, and I refused to have housekeeping come back to change them. One towel had a huge stain that was folded inward, so you only saw it when you unfolded it. The hotel claimed a nearby laundry service handled the cleaning, but I think they should have inspected the linens before giving them back to guests. When I booked, I was told the property had just opened, and the staff confirmed it was less than a year old, yet everything looked far older, as if it had been operating for years. The sun‑bathing deck by the pool was broken, breakfast offered three sets of very poor‑quality food with tasteless, pre‑made soups, and the coffee tasted like instant powder. The biggest issue was at checkout: I hadn’t booked an extra bed, but I arranged one directly with the hotel, knowing there would be a charge. Months earlier I asked about the price and was told it was 1,000 baht per night; I called again before arrival to confirm and got the same figure. When I checked out, they added a 10 % service charge, raising the nightly rate to 1,100 baht, and applied it to every night I stayed. I felt the base rate of 1,000 baht was already overpriced, especially since the “extra bed” was just a sofa pulled out, and the cheap breakfast was included. It was frustrating that they never disclosed the final net price up front, despite my two inquiries by email and phone, and only mentioned at checkout that taxes had already been deducted, implying the total would have been higher with tax. I was shocked, didn’t have time to argue, paid quickly, and left feeling very disappointed—like the hotel wasn’t honest, turning what should have been a fun trip into a sour experience.
