“Super Aufenthalt! Ganz klare Empfehlung!”
We spent a week on a hiking holiday at Hotel Wiesenegg and felt very comfortable there. What stood out was the staff – everyone was always on top of things, friendly, and especially in a good mood, showing that they enjoy working there. We booked half‑board and the dinner was truly excellent – a highlight for us. The hotel is modernly furnished, everything is very clean and well maintained, and nothing is missing. We especially appreciated the family‑like atmosphere; it’s clear this is a genuine family business and the owner is present herself. All in all, we had a wonderful week and would come back anytime. Absolutely top and a clear recommendation! The only misfortune was that during our stay, two families with several small children were staying at the same time. We have children ourselves and are not against families or lively kids – on the contrary – but it can be disruptive during dinner if you want to eat in peace and the kids are very restless or the parents have little influence over their behavior. We understand the hotel can only do so much about this and do not want this to be taken as a criticism of the hotel. Perhaps it would be worth considering a somewhat separate area for families with small children in the restaurant in the long term, so that families and other guests can feel equally comfortable. So this is just a small, constructive tip for the future.

The room was stylish, modern and roomy – we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The whole place is spotless, the staff are courteous and friendly, and the Blackbox has a sauna for every mood.

Perfect location for mountain biking and hiking. When the weather turns, the big, cozy spa with bio‑sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath and a tea bar is a lifesaver. Breakfast and dinner were top‑notch, especially the house‑grown meat dishes and the legendary dessert buffet on Fridays. If the three menu options don’t hit the spot, the pizza or schnitzel are solid backups. The bike repair stand outside is a bit old‑fashioned, but the owner said it’ll be replaced soon.
