Gasthof Hauserwirt

“Einfach nur unzumutbar”

Nothing good. The facilities were not just outdated but almost falling apart; everything looked like junkyard refuse and the beds were barely usable, sometimes just plywood. The walls were moldy and everything was in a dirty state. The balcony jutted out toward the back and was under a carport because it was on a slope, so no fresh air entered the room. It’s unbelievable that something like this is still offered today. It’s a huge rip-off for the price.

Helpful staff. The breakfast was thin.

“Dass wir diese Unterkunft gebucht haben war ein Reinfall. Ist uns noch nie passiert mit Booking.com.”

Good location, clean room, dogs allowed. The reception, the unkempt staff, the restaurant without a menu (only Wiener schnitzel and fries were served, no salad or dessert cake), the spoiled red wine, and the pervasive cigarette and alcohol smell from everywhere—including the staff—were all disappointing. The owner charged 20€ for the dog even though an official site said the overnight fee was 10€. We ended up paying no more than 10€, which sparked a bigger discussion.

The breakfast and the view were great.

“A very welcoming place on our way to Italy”

The rooms were huge and spotless, parking was a breeze and felt safe. The staff went above and beyond, whipping up delicious schnitzels with fries even though we were a bit late. The whole place was quiet and pretty—no complaints at all.
