“Groaznic”
The host was friendly. The nightmare: I came for a few hours to rest, got a cramped attic room where the ceiling was so low I hit my head, no air conditioning, the shower ran from the bottom, the bathroom filled with water, and the slope led toward the door. In July, without AC, the attic was over 30 °C, even on a hill. The neighbors’ dogs barked all night when I opened the window for ventilation, and when I closed it, the thick, warm sheets made me suffocate in five minutes. The towels smelled odd—mold? If anyone used a different room’s plumbing, the pipes groaned next to you. I slept under four hours before dawn, having gone to bed at 11 pm, and needed rest. Overall, a nightmare experience I would not recommend to anyone.
“Cazare "inșelătoare"”
Everything was fine, except a few issues. The room description said it had AC, and it did, but the gentleman who greeted me at check‑in, claiming to be the host, told me that if I wanted the remote for the AC I’d have to pay an extra 20 lei per day, even though outside was over 35 °C and the room was hot because the location wasn’t insulated, the walls were very thin, and there was no thermal or sound insulation. The property consisted of two separate buildings: one where my wife and I stayed, and another, better rated, where other tourists were housed. Without these exceptions, everything was OK.
“Odihnă”
A pleasant place. Everything was fine.
Run by a very welcoming family, modest but nice, good location, good value for money. I’ll definitely return; the area is wonderful to explore.
