“The new owner should make work ASAP to offer the same experience as the previous owner”
I stayed right next to the Medina, so taxis and restaurants were a hop away, and the waiters were helpful but clearly green. Breakfast was decent, and the guide we received was excellent; we even took a cooking class where we made and ate a traditional Tajine. We chose this place because of its prime location and stellar reviews, but the new staff were inexperienced. In the morning the manager seemed more interested in the cats than the guests, never checking in or offering help for the day. We never felt a connection with the staff. The restaurants were closed or not offered at the Riad itself, and the rooftop experience was missing. At checkout we weren’t asked about our stay, and on top of that the hotel told us that card payment wasn’t possible due to a technical error—just great. That night, when we turned on the light, we spotted huge bugs in our bathroom. The previous owner had a solid reputation, but the experience we expected never materialized, so we didn’t feel the value for money.
“Muy recomendable.”
El trato del personal, especialmente las indicaciones del dueño para conocer la ciudad, y la preocupación por ayudarte en todo: buscar taxi, cambiar dinero… El desayuno es muy bueno. La puerta estaba cerrada cuando llegamos, y no había timbre, lo que me hizo dudar de cómo entrar y si el hotel estaría funcionando.
“My stay was too short unfortunately due to extenuating circumstances.Would go back in a heartbeat!”
Magnificent views, exceptional staff and management attention to every little detail from comfort to decor to excellent cuisine. Even a lovely house cat. I highly recommend Riad Andalib. I liked everything!
“Riad Andalib is an oasis in Fez Medina!”
Everything at Riad Andilib was flawless, starting with the warm welcome from our host, Reibal Idrissi, who gave us an engaging talk about Fez’s history, Islam in Fez, the Riad itself, and how to navigate the Medina—so we never got lost! His key staff, Iman and Omar, were super friendly and always ready to help. The whole Riad is gorgeous, from the lobby to the well-appointed rooms, with clear attention to detail in design. We felt like royalty throughout our stay and hated to leave, especially since the location just inside the Medina gate was so convenient.
L'accueil privé, la gentillesse et les conseils de notre hôte et du personnel aux petits soins. Le riad est très beau, la chambre très grande, bien équipée, avec un double grand lit. Tout était parfait !
