“Atemberaubend”

The property is gorgeous, right on the beach, and the location is unbeatable. Everything is set up so cozy that you can sit by the fireplace at night and still see the sea. The breakfast and other meals were fantastic, and the staff were consistently very friendly. We left with a heavy heart.

“Schöner Ort mit wesentlich mehr Potential.”

The setting is beautiful and the grounds are large, with a great terrace attached to the room. However, the rooms are very small and lack hangers, a wardrobe, or storage space. Breakfast is simple and there are only a few comfortable seats. The staff are sometimes very terse, and there’s little warmth or hospitality. The paths shown on the lodge map are sometimes blocked, and only those who can climb a few rocks can reach the bay.

“Schöne Unterkunft mit viel Natur”

Besides the small room, the lounge was a cozy place to relax, with comfy sofas overlooking the sea. There’s a small gym and a laundry room. The breakfast selection is typical of Canada, but the free afternoon tea with cookies is a nice touch.

“A hotel perhaps relying on the beautiful setting a bit too much!”

The location is stunning, surrounded by nature and just a stone’s throw from the beach and sea, making for a peaceful and unique vibe. I was a bit disappointed with the bedrooms for the price. The bathrooms are very outdated and need a makeover—our shower didn’t drain quickly, leaving a few centimeters of cold water. The sink was in the bedroom instead of the bathroom, making the space feel cramped. Better curtains would have helped with daylight and privacy.
