The hotel offered excellent value, far better than the price suggested. The rooms were comfortable, the food tasty and affordable, and the staff were helpful. We watched Bury v Alfreton in the Northern Premier League and Bury won in the 90th minute, making it a fantastic weekend overall! The stairs could be a problem for those with luggage, and breakfast is no longer served, but there are plenty of nearby alternatives.

The room was lovely, clean, and well equipped. No breakfast was included, which is understandable in today’s climate.

The hotel is easy to find, with friendly and communicative staff. Dinner was pleasant and inexpensive, and the bed was comfortable. The private car park was very small and full during our stay; the municipal car park nearby is cheap but limits parking to 12 hours per the signage. Breakfast was not offered (explained before arrival) but a Morrisons Café is close by. The location on a busy gyratory brings a lot of traffic noise. The room was okay, but the shower in the bathroom was underwhelming.

The location was nice and the staff friendly. Even though I was on the third floor, music played until about one in the morning.
