The only thing that earned a 7 was the pool – it’s clean and the mountain view is a total delight, and walking from the hotel is a pleasure. On the downside, the hotel has two buildings; I’m not sure how the new one is, but the old one needs renovation. We checked in and within the first hour we had to ask for the door lock to be fixed, for missing towels, for soap that was at the bottom of the tub, and for the soap that was diluted ten‑fold. All those requests were handled quickly, which is a plus. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived – it had been empty for a month, and previously children had stayed there and simply didn’t close it. You can see the kids’ chewing gum on the window that was detached from the upper latch, papers under the bed, a shower door that doesn’t slide and locks you in, and a bathroom door that never closes. The window was dirty. The bedding was very old and in a mess. We stayed for one night, and the pool and vistas were a salvation from that room. The price is justified by the pool, but I expected better conditions.
