The staff at the Old Manse went above and beyond, always smiling and engaging warmly, clearly proud to work there, yet they couldn't do enough during our stay. It would have been nice to see daily specials on the menu, but that didn't matter much since we were only there for two nights.

I loved the staff and the whiskey bar, especially how knowledgeable they were. However, my room was not clean and despite repeated cleaning attempts, the mess kept reappearing; I felt embarrassed raising the issue and was told people would be reprimanded, which was disappointing at this price point—I just wanted a clean room, no matter the rate.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The old house is impeccably maintained, the drawing room has a fireplace, the whiskey selection is excellent, there are highland cows on the property, and the Michelin‑rated restaurant is superb—what a lovely stay it was! No complaints at all.

The restaurant was good, but I ended up in a wooden cottage without air‑conditioning, which was stupidly hot because the sun was on the flat roof all day. The blanket was thick, but the combination was hopeless; the bed was huge, leaving almost no space to move around.

The old manor house is lovely, with beautiful large rooms that are all stylish. The menu was a set menu and you couldn’t order à la carte, which was a bit disappointing.
