We loved the location. The condition of the room was awful. Marketed as a “standard” room, I think it barely met the minimum of what you’d want in a room you’re paying $395 for two nights. The beds were uncomfortable, the floor was damaged and buckling near the bathroom, there were poorly patched holes in the walls, the singular chair in the room was stained (as was the lampshade), the bathroom door was deeply scratched on the back, the shower handles were both broken (the cold tap kept falling off, and the hot tap backing plate kept falling to expose a hole in the wall), the skirting boards were rotting and popping off (from previous damage?), there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, darkening around the exhaust fan, filthy grout, and the ceiling had taken some serious damage and hadn’t been properly repaired. I contacted the owner the first night and he was very prompt to respond to me. He assured me the ceiling was safe to our health and he was waiting on a tradesman to return and refit the ceiling architrave in the shower, and the room was their “standard room”. I didn’t take it any further as I didn’t want to jeopardise our accommodation/our trip to Marysville

Very clean, nicely appointed helpful reception. Pillows a little firm but I’m just used to softer, would just have liked to open a window a little

The staff were friendly, check‑in was straightforward, the room was spotless and cozy, and the location was spot‑on. Overall, I liked everything and couldn’t find anything I disliked.
