The location is fairly central, walking easily to the city center and Piazza Unità d'Italia, and the building feels pleasant and book‑ish. It was quite clean, though I did find dust on the radiators in the room, and the atmosphere was warm. The staff were very kind and met all my requests. The bathroom cleanliness could have been much better. The thermostat on the bathroom radiator sits at a height that irritates the knee and forces an uncomfortable position when using the facilities. In my view, the 4‑star property lacks the “options” of other 4‑star venues (for example, the brass rails used to keep the stair carpet in place are mounted with two white plastic clips 😳). The price paid for the room, which advertised a double bed but was used single, did not include breakfast. The single room with a single bed, priced lower, did include breakfast. This choice by management is kind but makes little sense for the guest.
