The place sits right in walking distance to spots like the Anne Frank House and Canal cruises, and the nearby restaurants are great. In the evenings a few bars nearby make it a bit noisy, and carrying luggage up the stairs is a challenge.

The accommodation is in a nice area and the bed was comfy. Inside the room there was a bar fridge, coffee pod machine, kettle, toaster, cups, plates and cutlery, plus three windows overlooking the canal. The lighting was ample, towels were soft, and shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer and an iron were supplied. The host was honest from the start, but the staircase is hard to navigate with luggage; anything larger than a small suitcase and a backpack will need multiple trips. The building is old, so some wear and tear is expected. The floors weren’t mopped, our socks were black, and there was only one pillow per person—an extra pillow would help. There was no tea towel for drying dishes or a hand towel in the bathroom. Even though the property is non‑smoking, cigarette smoke from the downstairs restaurant still seeped into the room, although the fresh air was pleasant when the restaurant closed at midnight and reopened at 10:00.

The location was perfect and close to everything; the apartment was tidy and I’d stay again. I couldn’t get into the apartment at check‑in time because the cleaners were still there.

Only a 15‑minute walk to Dam Square, and the window offers a nice view where you can sit and watch the world go by. The bed was comfortable, the shower pleasant, and there were plenty of sockets in the room. Communication was great. The blinds couldn’t be lowered because there was no handle, two more pillows would have been nice, and the two flights of stairs were steeper than expected, even though we were warned before booking.
