The lakefront spot on Lake Joe was gorgeous, and we loved the easy access to kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boats. The hotel was dog friendly, and the Windows Restaurant made a great birthday dinner spot with a fantastic view, food, and service. Tennis, a hike around Lake Armitage, 9‑hole golf, and a pontoon boat ride kept us busy. The living room window only looked at the roof of the building next door, but the suite itself was large, clean, and comfortable, so we didn’t mind spending much time there during the day.

Very comfortable, everything nearby, a floating water park and varied lake activities kept the kids busy all day, wonderful nature, excellent location, lovely rooms, diverse restaurants, generous opening hours and wonderful staff. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, especially for an adult.

Dining and the staff were excellent, but our door lock was broken and we had to call maintenance several times in the first couple of days. The “fix” involved removing the outer cover of the lock and waiting for proper repairs after the weekend, and no one ever returned to fix it during our 10‑night stay. The mattress cover and fitted sheet didn’t fit and slipped off the bed multiple times each night. The kitchen sink had a faucet that wouldn’t fully shut off. Overall, the property needs major upgrades—it’s a shame because we’ve always loved it.

The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was good; the lakeside fishing, yacht trips and rowing were a hit with the kids and all of those activities were free. The employees there were gentle, patient and kind, and my family liked every one of them, but the toddler play area had no supervision, felt chaotic and wasn’t very clean.
