“Best staff we have experienced that did everything to make our stay comfortable, but not 4 star hote”

The front desk team was absolutely fantastic—quick to respond, even delivering our food after a mix‑up and helping sort a refund when we left early. Unfortunately the room felt far below the advertised four‑star level, with a broken vent fan, rusty sinks, a cockroach in a drawer and relentless mosquitoes. The on‑site restaurant was tiny and didn’t even have basic items like chocolate milk, and the photos were misleading since you can’t actually get into the water from the property.

We loved the peace and quiet that Brahma Blue offers, exactly what we were after for a relaxing break. The only drawback was the air‑conditioning, which seemed to struggle to keep the room cool. Overall a calm spot if you can tolerate a bit of warm air.

“Lovely unique quiet location 5 min boat ride from San Pedro town”

We had booked the penthouse and, after a last‑minute snag, were given a darker interior apartment for the first night; the staff were apologetic and didn’t charge us for the extra bed, which we appreciated. The penthouse itself lived up to the hype with panoramic views, airy rooms, a full kitchen and three bathrooms, while the grounds, pool and lagoon jetty were lovely despite occasional boat delays.

“Just wonderful”

Exploring the bustling town of San Pedro and then hopping a short boat ride to the tranquil Brahma Blue was a highlight of our trip; the lake view from our balcony was breathtaking and we could have stared at it all day. Our room was spotless and well‑equipped, the staff friendly, and the Coconut Café over the water served tasty dishes, generous portions and excellent cocktails. We’ll definitely be back.

“We will not be returning to Belize to stay at the Brahma Blue again”

The restaurant on the top floor was a lively hangout with decent food, drinks and a nice view, and the Presidential Suite was spacious, but the upkeep left a lot to be desired. Rain leaked through the kitchen windows, door stops were flimsy, the advertised outdoor hot tub barely warmed and quickly turned cold, and housekeeping only showed up once despite promises. Getting to the property required a water‑taxi that ran every two hours, which limited our ability to explore San Pedro.
