It felt authentic, but the noise at night was insane—there must be rats on the roof scratching. I couldn’t sleep even with earplugs. The location isn’t great except for the sunset river walks right next door. The beds weren’t very comfortable, but given the price we’d accept that.

The welcome was great, the location was good, the beds were comfy, and the shower was hot. Nothing to complain about.

The staff were very friendly and they rent scooters for 500 pesos. There’s a restaurant, Food-Fables, 8 minutes on foot, and otherwise Amando in the village offers great quality for the price. However, there’s no table or anything to put your stuff on, no bedside lamp, and the equipment is basic. With traffic close by, the rooms aren’t sound‑proofed, and the roosters mean you won’t sleep much.

The place is simple but works fine, with a great spot, comfy beds, AC, a quiet vibe, and a warm shower. I could refill water bottles from the cold fridge at reception, and they let me keep oat milk in their fridge too. Food and Fables is only 5 minutes away and offers solid vegan dishes. We rented kayaks from a nearby stall for 350 pesos each to paddle on the Loboc River, which was a blast. We walked up the river and saw plenty of fireflies at night without needing a tour. We loved it.
