Breakfast was excellent, with tea or coffee and a choice of egg doneness; there was a wide selection of sweet and savory items, all presented nicely, and fresh‑pressed orange juice. The owner was very attentive and did everything he could to satisfy us. Across the street was a restaurant that was also very welcoming, with a large, delicious à la carte menu. We’ll gladly return to the Hotel Gemeentehuis Nieuwpoort. The only thing I didn’t like was that the owner had to sweep the small terrace at the entrance himself; it’s hard to manage everything—service, breakfast, rooms—especially when the leaves start falling.

Quiet spot, but the room felt like an oven—no window to open, just a sliding door. Even though the outside was 21 °C, inside it was sweltering.
