“A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay at Inpan’s Beach Resort”

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Inpan’s Beach Resort. The resort sits in a very beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing environment, making it a perfect escape from the city’s bustle. Watching the sunset from the resort was a highlight; the scenery was absolutely stunning and gave us a special chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The resort’s unique and charming atmosphere, with trees in front of the beach that create a lovely spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings, was another plus. Dinner was another highlight: we especially enjoyed the seafood and the traditional Batticaloa‑style crab curry with rice, freshly prepared with authentic local flavours, making it one of the most delicious meals we had during our trip in Sri Lanka. The owner was very kind and helpful, even taking us around town in his own vehicle and showing us local sights. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and caring throughout our stay. We appreciated the owner’s patience and kindness when we had difficulty communicating in English; he took the time to explain things clearly and helped us whenever we needed it, making us feel very comfortable and well looked after. Overall, Inpan’s Beach Resort offers a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, delicious traditional food, and genuinely friendly hospitality. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this resort to other travellers visiting Batticaloa. Thank you to the owner and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable; we would love to return.

The staff were friendly, even though English was limited. The room was tidy with good air‑conditioning. The noise level was fairly loud; sounds from the room above us were easy to hear.

We truly loved our stay here. The staff, especially Mr. Inpan, the owner, were welcoming and friendly, and the beautiful wooden cabana was definitely one of the highlights of the property. You can really see the thought and creativity that went into its design, making the stay feel extra special and unique. The delicious seafood dinner was another highlight, but more than anything, we loved the peaceful and relaxing environment. With the beach just a two‑minute walk away, it was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy a quiet getaway. Nothing to add.

“A very quiet stay near an isolated beach. Good value for money but a long way from the other sights”

Inpans is unique. The small room is good value. It’s clean, breakfast is simple. It’s probably one of the better places in town. The position is quite isolated, which is an advantage because it’s very quiet. It’s not beside the beach but a short road down leads to a very quiet beach. Swimming is marginal, but it’s a great place for walks and to watch the fishermen. The only downside is that it’s a bit isolated; a tuk‑tuk had trouble finding it.
