Garner Hotel Evansville East by IHG

“Random Stay @ different Hotel”

Overall it was good. I accidentally booked the wrong dates but could change them without extra cost, which was great. The room was spacious, the bathroom and shower were acceptable. We could have used two more towels even though it was just the two of us for one night. Water pressure and hot water were only acceptable. The TV was good, channels were easy to switch, and the volume was fine.

Staff was friendly. Cookies & water upon arrival, breakfast was good. There is no hot tub like booking advertises. Our microwave didn’t work. They did let us use the one in the breakfast area. Location is close to the highway so there is highway noise, we didn’t notice that when booking. Our smoke alarm went off at 430 am. They did come immediately remove it but it was annoying to wake up to. There was a stain in the shower. We had the do not disturb sign on our door the morning of check out while we went to a workout. When we came back our towels were gone. We had to track someone down to find more towels. All of this was told to a manager and she did apologize

I felt the price was reasonable and my kids loved the cookies, but the pool was a disaster—jets seemed broken and the water was filthy. When we tried to re-enter the hotel, the card reader failed, so my husband had to walk around the side of the building to let my daughter and me back in.

Breakfast was decent and the room was comfortable, yet there was a strong odor in the room and mold around the tub in the bathroom.

“Clean, pet friendly and above average hotel with nice staff”

Everything was perfect—breakfast, all‑day coffee, snack store, pet areas, pool, staff—no complaints at all.
