Located in the picturesque museum street, Slijkstraat, in Groede, Hotel Groede offers two unique locations. The hotel's main reception features five rooms, while a short walk away, the second location, an old inn, boasts original wooden floors and nostalgic charm. New rooms on the ground floor offer modern amenities, including rain showers and private terraces, while the other rooms maintain their authentic, nostalgic character.

The staff were very friendly and we were able to collect the keys for our booked room 7 early in the morning. The cozy room had two single beds and a bathroom and was a great price. The breakfast (extra charge) was fine, but a ticking heating pipe made the night less pleasant.

The hotel was good, with a terrace, close to the beach, and Groede has a nice little center. No issues.

We lodged in a freshly renovated room that met our expectations, equipped with air conditioning for summer and a heat pump. Initially, there was a mix‑up with the breakfast during booking, and we were assigned a different room than the one we had reserved; the matter was resolved and no further complaints arose. The internet worked very well throughout our stay. On the downside, the room’s lighting was very poor, so I added a lamp to improve it, and the TV is rather small for such a large room.

The staff were friendly, 😊. The staircase up to the upper floors is narrow and steep, but we were lucky to be on the first floor, and we’re not 20 anymore, 😅.
