I was really let down. A month before arriving I emailed to ask for a room off the first floor, yet they still put me there on the FIRST floor. They first said they hadn’t seen my email, so I had to show the hotel’s reply that proved they’d tried to lie. The room itself was worn and smelled musty, especially the bathroom. On top of that I was overcharged: instead of the expected 50 GBP, the front desk billed me 68 pounds, and that extra amount still hasn’t been refunded. When I confronted the receptionist, she went to her manager, who later appeared and claimed I should have paid 100 pounds, but they “made a gesture” and only charged 68 GBP—an explanation that felt fabricated since I was alone in a room that should cost 50 GBP. I warned them I’d post a bad review, and the next morning they moved me to a nicer room on the third floor, but the gesture didn’t change my overall impression. A week later the 68 pounds still hasn’t been returned to my card, though I still hold out hope.

Location great Friendly staff. Tiles in shower floor all broken , Breakfast not good veggie option was frozen mush and poached eggs were more like a fried egg that had sat for long time , went out for breakfast 2nd day even though we had paid for it

Rooms. Needed a touch up of paint work in the rooms, yellow sofas in the lounge a bit worn
