The hotel’s central location and the onsen were great, the front desk greeted us with smiles that felt very welcoming, and the all‑Japanese rooms gave five of us plenty of space; we also appreciated the cold‑water service after the baths. The onsen’s limited hours left us wishing for a longer session, there’s no coin‑laundry within walking distance, and although the view from the room was nice, some dirt was noticeable.

The hot spring and the location were perfect. The closet door was squeaky.

The staff were very kind and polite. The property is old and there isn’t much English signage. The hot bath was not hot enough, and the sign says to call the front desk in Japanese if it’s too hot.

The onsen was very comfortable and hot. The hotel isn’t the newest, but it has its charm as a traditional establishment. Sleeping on tatami mats can be too hard for some. Breakfast was good, with a range of dishes to choose from. We were the only European guests, so we had to follow Japanese customs. When I asked for a water for breakfast, the staff didn’t seem pleased.
