The property sat right on the lake and faced it for sunset, making it very picturesque. There was no restaurant, but the manager gladly arranged to pick up food from town.

Nice lake view, calm location, helpful staff with recommendations, free laundry, and no issue with late check‑out or luggage storage. A Hindu temple opened nearby, so we heard chants and music until 9:30 pm and in the early morning, but that was not the hotel’s fault.

The area was absolutely stunning. We extended our stay because we loved it so much. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, everything was clean and in order!

We had a wonderful stay at Gangula Family Cottage while walking the Pekoe Trail. The cabin offered beautiful lake views and a small waterfall, was clean and comfortable, and the host was very helpful and considerate—he even helped glue our friend’s shoes back together and made sure we were comfortable. His relatives run a restaurant across the road, so we got dinner (and breakfast) at local prices, including delicious chicken fried rice with a fried egg on top. We highly recommend this accommodation. All good 💯

I spent a night in the two‑person cottage and was pleased with the lake and stream view, the hot shower, clean room, strong WiFi, kettle with tea, and the friendly hospitality. The small seating area beside the cottage was a nice touch, and K Valley cafe is just across the street for meals. The downside was the walk to and from Norwood and the Pekoe Trail, which follows a narrow road for over a kilometre.
