The place is solid value for the price – I keep coming back. Breakfast is tasty, the spot right at the entrance is a good espresso joint, and the location is spot on. Everything else is just fine.

I’ve been here twice now and it’s still a hit. The spot is perfect, the breakfast is good, and you really get your money’s worth. I’ll definitely stay again.

The hotel itself is simple and normal, nothing fancy. The snag is that Grab or taxi drivers can’t come into the lobby – they have to pull up to the roadside and we have to push the luggage out. The front desk said it’s because of parking fees, so they only let them stop outside.

New hotel, all new stuff – they handed us an adapter at reception. The interior design is cool, windows open for fresh air, rooms are non‑smoking and spotless with great linens. The park nearby is nice for a walk, and there are loads of cafés and restaurants, but they’re all Chinese, no European options. The nearest McDonald’s only takes Alipay; the card machine seemed useless, so we had to bring a local lady to pay.

The spot’s great – you can walk to a bunch of restaurants and it’s close to the bay. The only hiccup for folks from the West is that you’ll need WePay or AliPay to pay most places; otherwise it’s a hassle.
