The homely atmosphere and the host’s warmth were great. We could use the kitchen, and mingling with other guests in the common area was fun. The host’s grandmother shared vegetables she grew in her garden, which were delicious. She also provided useful information about nearby hot springs.

The aunt was hospitable and the room had a microwave, fridge, and kettle. The futon was fluffy and kept us warm. Because the unit had a bath, we wanted to use it, but during spring break the hotel was full and we had to wait in line; checking availability beforehand would be wise. Additionally, the system seemed to allow bookings beyond capacity, so someone who had booked that day could not stay.
