The place was spotless and freshly renovated, but the staircase and shower felt a bit cramped for taller guests.

The room was on the quieter side of the building, so traffic noise was a non‑issue; everything else was great. Checking in and out with a room code worked smoothly, so kudos to the hosts even though we never met them, which is fine for a single stopover. In town we enjoyed a good breakfast at the local bakery, and there were bike‑parking spots and a free seating area in the courtyard.

From the outside it’s already a very inviting timber‑framed house, situated centrally yet quietly. The free parking is excellent and just a few metres away, and we were kindly allowed to move into the room early. Our room was on the fourth floor, clean, spacious, and well‑furnished with a coffee machine, kettle, and a small, well‑equipped kitchenette. The bathroom is small but adequate. Walking to the city takes less than five minutes. We had a great breakfast at Bäcker Hermann. The conversation with Frau Kohlstedde was flawless, and we’d love to return. The mattress was a bit too soft for us, but that’s a matter of personal preference.
