The location was fine. The breakfast was stale, the microwave was dirty, and I wish they’d shampoo the hallway carpet. I also wish they could open the pool. It’s the only hotel in St. Stephen, so it should represent the town. With a small upgrade it would be perfect, but my stay was comfortable and convenient for my needs.

The place was convenient. The room felt stuffy and needed major maintenance: walls were damaged and needed repainting, floors looked dirty and hadn’t been mopped in ages, the shower curtain was dirty, and I found hair on towels that were supposed to be clean. It was hard to feel comfortable showering. The only bright spot was the bed sheets, which looked clean, though I still brought my own sheets. The hotel needs a serious renovation. Since it’s one of the few hotels near St. Stephens, I’d expect the owners to reinvest revenue into upkeep. Guests deserve a clean, comfortable, well‑maintained stay.
