The staff were great, the food plentiful but a bit too spicy for us, the room got cleaned daily, the metro was just 300 m up the road and it was great for getting around and cheap to use. Very safe to go out and about, people helped with directions and we had a great time. As mentioned, the food was too spicy but we made do.

I was met with a very warm welcome from the staff and the hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, but it looked very appealing. Very happy with my stay. I did find the shower floor a little slippery, just had to be careful. Traffic noise was more than I was used to, but it didn’t spoil my overall rating of the place.

Walk about 300 Meters to Metro line2 Exit 1. On the first day of check‑in, Senior Hotel staff said there would be a one‑way drop‑off from the hotel to the airport, but when I checked out, a young lady at the front desk said they wouldn’t provide that service if I booked under the hotel name Guan Hua Hotel; she said the service would only be offered under a booking with HeYitang Hotel. Wifi sometimes needs to register with a China number before use; sometimes it can be used regularly.

I stayed here for a few nights and left thoroughly impressed. The location is superb, just a short stroll from Beixinjing metro station, which made getting to Hongqiao, the Bund and Lujiazui utterly straightforward. For both business and sightseeing this is a wonderfully convenient base. Comfort was excellent. My room was spotlessly clean, spacious and very quiet, the mattress was so comfortable I slept like a log. The wet and dry areas are sensibly separated and the room’s smart controls are intuitive once you’ve had a quick look around. Dining deserves a special mention. Breakfast is extraordinary in variety and freshness, and the complimentary simple evening meal was a very welcome touch. There’s also a pleasant café downstairs for a leisurely coffee. Service was consistently polite and helpful, the front desk could not have been more accommodating and staff went out of their way to sort any small requests. All in all the hotel feels modern, well run and quietly refined. I initially had a little trouble locating the usual TV channels, but a swift call to reception resolved it and I even managed to watch the 2026 F1 without any bother.
