“A great value option and a perfect base for exploring amazing Chiang Dao.”
I booked a stay in Chiang Dao that turned out to be a solid deal for the scenery and price. The property sits right in front of a huge mountain, so walking up to it feels refreshing. The owner is extremely helpful and even let me rent a motorbike from her, which made it easy to hit the town on a budget and then head out to the natural spots. For the cost of a hostel bunk, I got a private room and decent facilities, even though the room itself isn’t very modern. I liked that I could walk to food, snacks, laundry, and then set off on adventures. The owner even drove me to the bus station, caught the bus to Chiang Mai, and followed it so I didn’t miss it. The only downside was the thin walls—once I heard loud conversations from the room next to mine.
