The owners were genuinely welcoming, the breakfasts were solid and the room comfortable, and the little wine cellar and patio added a nice touch. The only downside was that the nearest restaurant was a fair walk away, which was a bit of a hassle after a long travel day, but the friendly atmosphere and the homemade cake from the owner's mother more than made up for it.

From the moment the senior lady greeted us, the stay felt homely—parking right in front, a lovely arcade courtyard full of flowers, and a glass‑enclosed terrace perfect for reading or a game of cards. After a tiring drive I was rescued with coffee and a slice of Guglhupf, and the ground‑floor room let me rest up for the Howl Night in Ernstbrunn. Breakfast was delicious and the junior lady was happy to share tips and chat, making the two nights a real pleasure.

The landlady was very friendly, and the room was spacious with its own little hallway and a separate bathroom, plus a quiet inner courtyard that's lovely to sit in during summer. The mattress felt a bit too high and firm for my liking, and I wish the breakfast offered a wider selection of local, fresh items.
