The cottage was cozy, with electric blankets and a fireplace for cold nights. The surrounding area was beautiful to explore, especially during the open gardens weekend when spring blooms filled the air. The hosts were engaging and informative, ensuring our comfort. However, mobile data reception was weak and WiFi was unavailable, which is understandable given the remote location; the hosts are working to improve it.

The location was exactly what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The linen was warm, though the mattress shifted when my partner moved. The fireplace was great, and there was plenty of hot water. The only downside was the lack of WiFi.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hogsview. It was a last‑minute booking, and Kerry went out of her way to greet us and make us feel welcome and comfortable. The cottage was cute, well equipped, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
