“Netter Kurztrip nach Verona”
The location is perfect for exploring Verona’s old town, with a supermarket, cafés, and the Arena within walking distance. The street noise is unavoidable if you want to be right in the city.

The spot is great, close to Piazza Bra and the Arena, and Massimo was a very friendly host; the room was clean.

The room was clean and comfortable, with fresh sheets and a good mattress. There’s no view from the window—just a wall, but that’s fine. The location in the historic center is excellent, and there are kettles for tea and coffee. Breakfast is typical Italian: various pastries, a small selection of cheeses, fruit, and jam. I gave the owner a low rating for rudeness. First, the reception surprised me: they treated us as if they didn’t know who we were or why we were there, looked at us oddly, and asked if we were three people even though I had said two people and two rooms. In their office the music was loud, so I thought I’d entered the wrong door. After check‑in the owner left. In the evening, when we returned, my daughter told me I could hear music in her room. I wrote to ask where it came from and we were told it was a nearby theater, so the music was audible, though I didn’t hear it in my room. The next morning I heard loud music again from the owner’s office. I asked politely to lower the volume, explaining my daughter hadn’t slept well the night before. He looked angry and didn’t reply. I repeated the request, and he snapped, “I understand, no need to repeat it!” The music kept playing. He then stood up, irritated, and said if we wanted silence we should look elsewhere. That comment had nothing to do with my request, so I stayed silent. He eventually lowered the volume. I didn’t want to talk to him anymore, so I took my daughter out of the hotel for breakfast elsewhere, which felt unexpectedly rude, though I understand not everyone likes loud music in the lobby.

The host was pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the central location is convenient. I wished there had been a mattress topper.
