“Not at Marriott standards”

I was happy to find the hotel right in the middle of Pueblo for our weekend plans, but the ongoing renovation left some rooms looking a bit rough. The staff were lovely, otherwise I’d have said the place didn’t live up to its price. Water pressure was awful, and we ended up with more than seven towels that didn’t match in pattern or style.

Everything matched what I paid for, especially the proximity to the convention center, and I even caught a concert nearby. I didn’t encounter any problems during my stay.

I had to request a blow dryer, iron, table, and can opener, and they were all available. Breakfast was an extra cost at the bistro, which I understood was not included in the room rate, but on some days there was no breakfast, and the bistro kept running out of coffee.

I expected a complimentary breakfast in the morning, but I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels in Pueblo that actually offered breakfast. Unfortunately, there was no place to eat because everything was closed.
