The Sunset Hotel was an excellent choice for a post‑high‑school reunion stay, and it met all of our expectations.

“Clean and modern motel in a quaint, small town!”

The motel room was spotless and modern, and its location right across the street from bars and restaurants was perfect. The small fridge in the room was handy, and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. However, the price felt high for a small room in a small town, and the owner might consider lowering it. The pillows were huge body pillows that didn’t fit a normal head, making sleep uncomfortable. Parking was awkward: after speaking to the owner, I parked in a carport next to my room, but the car next to me was 2‑3 feet from my door, making it difficult to open the door with a car so close.

“Felt very comfortable staying there, family owned with pride, very clean, no bed bugs!!!”

Breakfast wasn’t provided but no need. The hotel is right downtown and 2 blocks from Coffee Girl where the food was excellent. Great menu for all dietary needs, vegan and gluten free included. There were laundry facilities right there if you needed it at the hotel so if staying longer you could do it right there. The outside was very clean but the building needs a face lift. The inside of the rooms had been upgraded, very clean and inviting. It’s family owned so they are slowly working on getting it all fixed up

“Was very pleasantly surprised with this motel - great location and very clean and comfortable!”

The location was excellent—the directions were clear and getting to the room was easy. The bed nearest the convector was difficult to sleep in during our stay because it was hot outside and the air conditioning blasted directly onto the bed.

“very helpful host”

The room was very nice and there were plenty of towels. We had trouble getting into the room at 1 a.m., but the host was very kind and available to help us out. We couldn’t figure out how to get the shower to work.
