The hosts were genuinely warm and helpful, and the place sits in a lush, wildlife‑rich setting. Park staff were friendly and guided us to the Rio Bonito trail without a hitch. The only hiccup was the lack of credit‑card payment – the lodge never mentioned this when we booked, and finding a bank nearby to pull enough cash was nearly impossible. It would be better if they required full payment up front or at least warned guests about the cash situation.
