The breakfast and the meals in the open‑air barn were outstanding, and the beer and the service were excellent. The historic mill itself is beautiful. It’s right on the forest edge, inviting short hikes and walks.

Nice surroundings, but I have to mention the unexpected behavior of Pingla Milan after four days and daily visits to the restaurant, which ruined the experience with a disgusting surprise in front of guests and visitors over the payment issue. I’m quite old, so it really spoiled my stay. The rest of the staff is great. Thanks, Václava Lukešová.

The hotel in the old mill is very nicely equipped, with outdoor seating, an exhibition of old tractors, excellent cuisine, and friendly staff. The biggest drawback is the quality of the drinking water. We knew it would smell; we read that in reviews, but the intensity of the odor surprised us. I believe it’s not appropriate to downplay the water quality. The staff claim manganese and iron aren’t the main issues, but the water contains a high amount of sulfate/sulfur. I can’t imagine how that will affect room ventilation in winter. Sulfur in the air is toxic, and the water needs treatment, otherwise it will become a major problem.

Good location and quiet. Basically nothing, just a slight issue with the water, but that’s common everywhere now.
