Guests enjoy a homemade breakfast of jams and local delicacies, a heated pool, optional sauna, and a lounge with fireplace. The famed São Vicente Caves lie five minutes away; Madeira International Airport is 42 minutes’ drive.

The pool and room were fine. There was a constant unpleasant odor in the room.

The property sits in a beautiful spot on the dramatic Madeira islands. However, there was no shampoo or conditioner provided.

I stayed at a hotel on the northern part of the island, and the location is really good, but you have to drive there. The breakfast was excellent, featuring fresh vegetables and fruit grown on the premises. The rooms are fairly large and clean.
