“Very Disappointing. So dirty”

The location was decent and the host was helpful when we mentioned the mess, but the place was a nightmare to clean. We walked in to a stained carpet, found a joint on the balcony, and under the sofa bed there were used meds, crumbs, pubic hairs, and tissues. The sofa bed had no sheets, we were short a towel for our fifth guest, and a plastic bag was covering the smoke detector like someone was trying to hide a smoking incident.

Nice spot, cheap, but the bathroom and toaster were a bit dirty. The place is in a good area and the price was worth it, just wish the cleaning had been a touch better.

“Could have been better”

Location was solid, but the whole experience felt unprofessional. They took a $300 refundable deposit and I’ve been chasing it for 45 days with no refund. They promised 5‑7 business days, but nothing. There’s no privacy lock in the bathroom, which is a must for a two‑bedroom, one‑bath setup. They said there was parking on the property, but there wasn’t; we were given a nearby lot instead. Not great.

The place was perfect for the family—room size, views, all that. But we had to deal with a constant beeping that the owner said was the dishwasher, which it wasn’t. They never came to fix it even after we sent videos. The sound got louder, and we had to figure out it was a fire alarm with a dying battery hidden in a cupboard. On top of that, the balcony door never locked. Aside from the noise and security issue, we enjoyed the stay.

Right by Southern Cross station, the view was amazing and the location was great. But there were a bunch of maintenance problems: no dishcloth, no detergent for the dishwasher, no face washer in the shower, a broken arm on the sofa bed, and the cupboard door was coming off. It made the stay less comfortable than it could have been.
