The house is huge and we were the only guests; the owner was away but his mother, who lives over the road, helped us park, speaking no English but still very friendly. Any issues were answered quickly on his mobile. The house sits nicely in the village, away from the tourist shopping street, and a pleasant walk leads to the main road. The bedding is either light covers or a heavy duvet; a blanket for autumn weather would be nice.

Breakfast was an extra charge but acceptable; it required going to the owner's family building, apparently.

A large room with plenty of natural light from two windows and a big balcony, but no soundproofing—every word from the room below was audible, and there were no bedside lights.

Simple rooms that are very nice, clean, and comfortable. The sitting area offers a view of the mountains. You can order excellent home‑cooked meals, and breakfast is tasty with homemade cheeses and jam.
