The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The room was cleaned daily, and breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared with fresh products. The road to the beach was uneven, so bring sneakers to walk it. The power often went out (common in that area), so we struggled to shower because the water pressure was minimal.

The room was decent, Henrietta was a delight, no AC but a ceiling fan, small, compact and lovely.

The room was very small, smelled of urine. With the heat, there was no air conditioning in any room, no mosquito nets. The pool was small. We tried to cancel the stay and were denied, so we lost the money and had to book another hotel.

It feels like its own little oasis. The grounds look beautiful. The staff are very accommodating and kind. The breakfast is the tastiest I’ve had in Zanzibar and looks stunning. I wish the weather had let us use the gym and outdoor yoga equipment more; it was a nice touch. They even brewed me coffee before breakfast and brought it to the hammock so I could read. The dog is a cutie and makes the stay feel a bit more like home. A short 5‑minute walk to the beach. Masai were present at night for security. The power cuts were frequent, not the property’s fault, but the rooms feel like a concrete box when the fan isn’t working. The generator doesn’t run all the time and is super loud when it does. It’s something you should be prepared for in Zanzibar, but it didn’t ruin our stay.
