The location is tranquil, right on the sea, free from tourist crowds. It captures the vibe of an Italian province. Nearby restaurants are good. The silence and calm were exactly what we wanted. It’s a solid base for exploring Acireale or the fishing villages.

Casa Scala shines mainly because it sits right on the sea; a bathing step is immediately next door and Catania is easily reachable. The entire apartment is new and well furnished, especially the high‑quality bathroom that we liked. The landlady was extremely attentive and helpful, reacting right away when a stove issue arose. Parking was hassle‑free, with a spot available nearby. We felt comfortable and would gladly recommend Casa Scala for a stay on the Sicilian coast. However, the stove controls are a bit complicated and need explanation; a short guide would help. The ground‑floor apartment has no terrace, as one might expect from the description, but instead offers a direct exit onto the street. Additionally, the coffee machine and kettle mentioned in the listing were missing, which would have been nice practical additions for us.

The location is perfect for heading out to the sea, but the cleaning lady arrived too early in the day – before 8 am – and made a lot of noise.
