“Paradise amongst the Olive trees”

The rooms were comfortable, the food was great, the hosts were brilliant, and the setting was lovely. The swimming pool and courtyard areas were excellent, and the location in the Puglian countryside was great, not far from amazing villages and tourist hotspots. The only downside was that there was no real area for a group of eight mature adults to hang out in the evenings.

“Oase van rust in de prachtige Puglia regio”

We had a fantastic stay at Masseria Cortese. From the moment we entered through the gate, we stepped into an oasis of calm surrounded by olive trees. We stayed in a trullo, which was a very enjoyable and authentic experience. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated. The entire estate was also beautifully finished and cozily decorated with nice décor. The pool was fantastic, and in the garden we could fully relax among the trees in hammocks or on a bench. We could truly disconnect in complete silence without any ambient noise, which has become exceptional at many locations. The lunches were also very tasty and kept us from having to leave the estate all the time. In the evenings we had dinner twice, each time delicious—made with local and super fresh ingredients! Breakfast was always very good, with fruit from the garden, local yogurt, fresh eggs, and of course the fresh cake that changed each day. We looked forward to the new cake every day! All of this was consistently taken care of by the hosts, who were very friendly and ready to help with any question or request. Thank you so much for that, especially when we had car trouble; they were immediately ready to help and find a solution! We already miss the estate and dear Maccia! The first day after arrival, the air‑conditioner leaked in the room, making part of our luggage and clothes wet. Luckily it was warm enough and it dried quickly. After reporting this, the host acted immediately and placed a towel under the unit. Perhaps it would be best to provide something permanent to capture the condensation? In breakfast, one coffee per person per day is provided, which may be a bit little for true coffee lovers—could the fruit juice also be fresh like all the other products? On the estate, only drinks and food from the masseria itself may be consumed, which is extra paid per consumption. We understand the principle of the bar on the estate, but with warm weather and a long stay this can add up. This was an unforeseen cost that was not entirely clear at booking. These are just tips and do not take away from our fantastic experience there!

We had a wonderful stay at Masseria Cortese—a magnificent, calm, and very well maintained place with a superb pool that’s perfect for relaxing. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious, featuring beautiful local products. The best part of the day was arriving for breakfast and being greeted by Marylène’s wonderful smile ☺️ A big thank you to Marylène and Carmine for their warm welcome and kindness. It’s a place where you truly feel good and we’ll definitely return with great pleasure!

“Een droom die werkelijkheid wordt”

You have to be there to discover how great this stay is. The accommodation is extraordinary. We were there for our honeymoon, and the owners made it the honeymoon of our dreams. We received a personal letter and a pumo to wish us luck. The dinner is something you absolutely have to try. Very cozy and the quality of the food is sublime. Every morning at breakfast there was a homemade specialty. We looked forward to it each day; everything was very tasty. We slept in the trulli, which is also a unique experience. The most fantastic thing is the owners—such incredibly kind people who do everything to make your stay even better. We rarely see such hospitality. They also have a super sweet dog, Maccia, and several cats. All together, it makes you feel like family during your stay. We’ll definitely come back!

Cleanliness, order, and meticulous attention to detail throughout the property. The pool is stunning and well maintained. The entire venue feels very peaceful. The host is friendly, generous, and caring, never intrusive. Breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh items. Car access is well organized, allowing guests to stay completely independent.
