You get what you pay for. The property is dated and very basic – it’s for those who don’t mind that. Breakfast was unremarkable: instant coffee with milk, fruit, toast and the like, nothing wow‑worthy. Orange juice tasted like flat Fanta. The rooms are sparsely furnished. The staff are helpful but not overly cheerful. The on‑shore restaurant feels a bit friendlier. The lighting in the rooms is awful – either too bright LED or too dark (windows and mosquito net let in light). The beach was a mess (though it had been cleaned after a storm and the end of the rainy season) and at night they left everything exposed. This isn’t just a resort issue – the island itself is littered.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Tub Tim Resort; the staff were all outstanding, the beach was one of the quieter ones on the island and a short walk led to two more beaches, the bungalows were clean and comfortable with functional air‑conditioning—though many were close to the beach, our larger unit sat a bit higher on the hill but still easy to reach; the breakfasts were extensive and tasty, and while it wasn’t the most fancy place, it was a wonderful resort overall.

The beach was beautiful and the restaurant food was nice, but we missed our checkout by 30 minutes and the staff packed all our belongings into bags, making the situation feel messy and uncomfortable—quite an unpleasant experience.
